Rice Paper Kite's mission is to provide parents with the means to explore Chinese language and culture with their child in a fun and engaging way.
Rice Paper Kite was founded by Tara Bardeen, known as Bai Enqing to her Chinese friends, in 2004 to help children and their parents learn more about Chinese language and culture.
Drawing on her background in Montessori teaching, her BA in Chinese from the University of Colorado, and her years of tutoring children in Chinese, Ms. Bardeen created Dragon Express Chinese Language and Culture Activity Kits.
Ms. Bardeen believes it is essential that children learn about foreign cultures and develop a life-long interest in the vast world around them in order to become world citizens as adults.
Dragon Express kits are designed to be a fun and exciting way for families to get Chinese language and culture into their home each and every month.
Rice Paper Kite participates in several festivals and camps.
You may have seen our Dragon Express kits at the Colorado Heritage Chinese Camps and the Boulder Asian Festival.
We receive a wonderful response from parents and kids alike.
